​Philosophy

At Foothills Preschool we believe that each child is a unique individual with their own pattern and speed of development.  Through our differentiated curriculum, we meet each child where they are developmentally and compose a plan for their individual growth and learning goals.



Curriculum

• Using a Reggio - inspired approach to early childhood education our teachers design an emergent, integrated curriculum based on shared interests of the students & teachers.

• Our lesson planning is based on the California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations (PTKLF), published by the California Department of Education.

• We follow the guidelines for environment and curriculum recommended by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the predominate authority in early childhood education.​
